Tony Alessandra on Empathy

I met Dr Tony Alessandra in Las Vegas what an inspirational man.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Empathy is the capability to share and understand another person's emotions and feelings. It is often characterized as the ability to “put oneself into another person's shoes.
To experience being in someone else's shoes try these easy steps:

You want to tap into the other person's emotions. Are they sad, happy, mad.

You will want to let that other person know what your are thinking “I think that you were disappointed we no longer carry that product”Acknowledge that feeling/emotion ” I can totally understand why you would be upset”

Let them know you are willing to cooperate. “I am definitely willing to work with you and work out something to your satisfaction.
Instantly, you are able to build rapport and trust with the person/person's you are negotiating with.

In a relationship-based negotiation, Empathy is considered a key skill. William Ury “Getting Past No” States that everyone has a deep need to have their feelings to be recognized and heard.
Are you using enough of it?
