One of the mistakes we make when tackling our to-do list is by starting at the top of the list. This is because our brain thinks of the small things first so by the time we get to the end of our list, where all the big, most important items are, we are out of time. If we start at the top of the list, most of us never reach the bottom by the end of the day. In order to be more effective with your list she shares some great ideas to be more productive. After making your list you have to prioritize it. Next, write in parenthesis next to each item how long you are going to spend working on that item. I am sure you can see that this is a much better way to use a to-do list.

Most people say that they do not have any free time. You should schedule it. Maybe on a Sunday morning or a Saturday afternoon. I schedule 30 minutes before I go to bed every night to read. This is a must do or you will always feel like you don't have any time for yourself.
The flex time is the time during your day where you are scheduling appointments, taking phone calls, and you will allow interruptions.
The super achievers schedule at least an hour a day to focus time. That is where you turn off the phone, close the office door, do not look at the emails. This is the time where you put your complete focus and attention to an important task or project. You do not allow any interruptions.
This video was so helpful to me. For 10 years I had an office to go to. Now I am working from home. I see now how important it is to set up my workday and schedule in the focus time to be the most productive. In following Stephanie's advice I feel I will be much more productive in less time and it will allow more time for me to spend with my daughter.
