Mark Victor Hansen - Audio “Blast off to Big Thinking”

I download this audio to my iPod and listen to it while on the
treadmill.  With all this great inspiring, motivating material packed
into this 43 minute audio it makes my workout fly by!  Here are just a
couple of key points that really impacted me.

This was a quote from Earl Nightingale that I absolutely love!
“Ideas are like wet slippery fish.”  “You have to get them when they
show up or they will slip away never to be seen again.”

Darol Wagstaff - Champions for Life - ilearningglobal

In this video Darol points out the distinct differences between winner
and loser mentality.  We are going through a tough time with our
economy these days.  This is a great video to inspire you to have the
champion mentality and be strong.

He told an inspiring story about a man named Terry Fox who lost a leg  because of cancer.  Terry decided to run on one leg through Canada to  raise money for cancer research.   Terry ran 3,339 miles, on 1 leg,  before he was forced to stop because the cancer had spread up to his  lungs.  His goal was to raise 1 million dollars, and he ended up  raising 25 million dollars for cancer research!

Darol also shares about the 4 Attitude and 4 Action Qualities of a
Champion.   What I liked about it was that these were very simple
steps and very easy to accomplish if you just set your mind to them.

ilearningGlobal - Learn From Self Made Millionaires

The modern definition of the word Entrepreneur can be described as a person who has possession over an enterprise, or venture, and assumes significant accountability for the inherent risks and the outcome. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrepreneur)  In common understanding it is taken as describing a dynamic personality and someone who attempts to organize resources in new and more valuable ways and once more, completely accepts full responsibility for the outcome. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/entrepreneur)

Here’s an insight.  We as humans naturally organize resources vital to our lives in new and more valuable ways in order that we may reach certain and specific outcomes, especially if those outcomes are directly related to our well being and survival.  For example, we organize our mental resources to apply and compete for specific types of jobs so that we may earn the income necessary to secure for ourselves a lifestyle suitable to our chosen comforts and desires.  Another example can be found in our choosing to go to college,  seek specific training,  or taking certified courses with a personal/business development company, so that we may become more valuable to our employers and in turn more valuable , successful, and ultimately reliable to ourselves and our families.  We make many decisions and ultimately we must live with them and their outcomes.

In short we are all risk takers and in business for ourselves, and so we are in a way, all entrepreneurs of a sort, seeking to capitalize on the ever emerging opportunities and resources that we continually see come before us.  Robin Sharma (Sharma Leadership International) alludes to a certain parallel so well when he describes humans as their own corporation and labels us as Humans Inc., so to with Earl Nightingale(Nightingale-Conant Corp) and Brian Tracy (ilearnginGlobal) when he envisions all of us as CEO’s of our own personal lives.

It is our belief that we are all responsible for this personal venture/enterprise known as our life.   And the reason this metaphor is preferred over others and related to so well, is  because it captures most completely the essence of the human life;  which can be seen as an adventure, a  journey, a place of risks, and an environment that is continually changing, becoming, and evolving.  Businesses come and go…but the entrepreneur always remains.

Bill Bartmann - Setting and Achieving Your Promises to Your Self

Team it’s a new year and new company…

Everyone today seems to be in Denial thinking it is some river in Egypt… it is not… You are the river of denial….Like the legend of sleeping hollow are you going to let 20 years slip by? Do you have another 20 years?

Maybe?

Maybe not?

Since I am in my late 40’s I have about 20 good years left. Do I want to continue to work at a job where people tell me what I can and cannot do? The corporate world today is changing each day. There is no guarantee if you work hard you keep your job…

I work in the sales industry I am tired of struggling to make ends meet and having to make a certain quotas each month… Sure you make your quota they love you… If you don’t you are put on a personal improvement plan- A plan that gives you no direction- just a tongue lashing and a written piece of paper marked PIP (personal improvement plan). Why is it called Personal Improvement plan there is no plan just a date and signatures and this goes in your file of  Welcome To Your Life- If you keep doing the same things your doing you will keep producing the same results- The sad truth is Upper management does not remember what you did only what you haven’t done?  I remember saying this to myself on the first of each month… Good morning HERO to ZERO… How destructive is that being nothing more than your numbers written on a white board? How can you get above water if you don’t have a plan?

Like Verizon CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

SUCCESS requires commitment! Are you happy where you are? Are you ok just getting by? I am not and will no longer remain in the harbor -Yes there are bound to be rough waters but I cannot float along the river of denial with no direction and say I am satisfied.

So Today!

I challenge you to create a PROMISE PLAN!   A promise is kept 98% of the time versus committing to a goal which is only kept 70% of the time…

Today make a PROMISE TO YOU! Decide what you want out of life…

I am going to give you the 10 steps by Bill Bartmann (self made Billionaire) signature videos from IlearningGlobal.tv

SETTING AND ACHIEVING YOUR PROMISES TO YOUR SELF

Make sure it is your promise- Honor yourself- Decide what you want in life

Don’t call it a goal- You miss your goals more often that you hit them- Substitute the word goal for promise.

Clearly identify your promise- Write it down on paper

Use the tools around you-SuccessBuild.com- IlearningGlobal.com- Your mentors- Your family- Your friends

Create a promise plan- What, When, Where, Why, Who and How

What- Are you going to do!

When- Are you going to do it- When will you accomplish your promise to yourself! Not to your spouse- Not to your parents-Not to your friends BUT to YOU!

Where- Will you be when this happens??

Why- Do you want to keep this promise to yourself? What is your objective?

Who- Who’s help do you need to achieve this?  Remember I am here to help you. What do you need from me?

How- You ask how am I going to do it? Well the HOW is impossible to know right now….You only have to know the answer two things the WHAT and WHY- the HOW will appear as long as you can answer the WHAT and WHY.

Review your promise plan daily…Don’t say you don’t have enough time… Keep your promise plan in the reading room you call the bathroom… You have nothing else to do in there anyway….When you review your promise plan daily- new ideas come to you it is important to imbed this list in your subconscious.- Once information is imbedded in your subconscious mind you will see how the universe works to bring it about. Much like we use the word affirmations today your subconscious is a powerful tool.

Tell yourself you will succeed use Positive affirmations don’t listen to any other voice but yours… No one has control over your thoughts or your dreams only you know how big they can be… Don’t give up on you.

Tell others of your promise- Success requires commitment when you tell other people about it they may be able to provide you assistance or then again they may laugh at you… Don’t get mad respect their opinion- What greater motivation then a negative motivator… When they laugh at you write their name on a 5×7 index card keep it on your wall, desk cubicle etc.every time your about to give up think of them laughing at you. Let it be a reminder that you WILL succeed.

You have to be able to envision the results- Get posters- Get photos- Get anything that reminds you of your dream surround yourself with these items.

Helen Keller said “Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing”

I’ve come to know that we do not succeed in spite of our challenges and difficulties – rather than precisely because of them.

Life is a buffet you can have what everyone else is having or you can follow your own path. Most times we live our lives following the herd…

Why do we not take risks? Why do we live life in quiet desperation?

We are much like the sailors prior to Christopher Columbus afraid if we launched our ships out of the harbor we would fall off the edge of the world.

Well there are worse things that could happen to you than to fall off the edge of the world -Such as resting in the harbor.
It is true ships are safe in the harbor – But that is not what ships are made for. And neither are you! I think it is so amazing that we are so afraid to leave the harbor. What are we afraid of?

FAILURE?

Well who told you failure was such a bad thing. Thomas Watson the founder of IBM said if you want to succeed more fail more- The Chinese say that “Its not whether you fail or not- only if you are content with that failure”.

The Failure is the process- it is one of the steps REQUIRED to achieve success.
It takes time. It takes failures and yet we stop because we are so afraid that we might fail. In fact sometimes we are so afraid of failure that we don’t even try- and there by we fail by default- it’s like saying if I go outside today I might get murdered so I will just stay home and commit suicide.

Never CHOOSE Failure- Michael Jordan did not make his first free throw- nor did Tiger Woods sink his first putt.

Ordinarily chances are you won’t make it on your first try. But you have a 99.9% chance of succeeding on your first try… How?
