                              What Does It Mean To Be Successful?


Success means doing the best we can with what we have.  Success is in the doing, not the getting– in the trying, not the triumph.~ Wynn Davis

Hal Urban, in his book “Life's Greatest Lessons” states that he was thirty-nine years old when he first understood what it mean to be successful. Upon discovering this brought him a sense of inner peace and a feeling of self-worth.  

Some of what Hal discovered:

Successful people accept life as it is with the good and the bad. They have the ability to adapt. They say Yes to Life.  What can you do to accept life as it comes to you and find the lessons with grace?

Successful people develop and maintain a positive attitude towards life.

Successful people build and maintain good relationships.  They are sensitive to the needs and feelings others.

Successful people have a strong sense of definition and purpose they know where they are going.  Do you have a definition or purpose?  If not take some time to dream!

Successful people have a passion and strong desire to learn: about life, the world and themselves.  
They see learning as a joy not duty.  Knowledge is power!

Successful people are action-oriented. They are take charge and get things done not wasting any time.

Successful people maintain high standards in their personal conduct.  Honesty is one of the main ingredients of their character makeup.

Successful people understand the difference between existing and living and they choose living by getting the most out of their life.   

 
These are some tools for tapping into your potential for becoming the best person you can be and for enjoying life to the fullest.
